With the ever-expanding presence of the app market, many fitness enthusiasts are downloading apps to stay in shape and improve their healthy lifestyle. Here are a few apps that are perfect for anyone who wants to stay fit.

The first app is called Charity Miles and is free to download on both iOS and Android app stores. Charity Miles is perfect for long-distance runners, walkers or bikers, as it encourages these tasks by helping those in need. Once the app is downloaded, you can pick a charity to support and for each mile you complete, corporate sponsors will donate a few cents. What seems like little money will add up quickly, especially if you work out daily and go long distances.

The next app is from Johnson & Johnson and is their Official 7 Minute Workout. It’s free to download on both app stores, like Charity Miles, and provides quick workouts for all skills levels. In addition, the app coaches you through each routine and includes anything from planks to jumping jacks.

Lose It! is a great app if you are aiming to lose weight. It is free to download and compatible with other fitness apps, as well as devices, such as Fitbit bands. Lose It! keeps track of both your calories and exercise, so you always know how many calories you can spend for the rest of the day and how much more you need to work out.

The last app is called Zombies, Run! and is free to download on the iOS and Android app stores. This is a different kind of fitness app with a unique premise: you are in the zombie apocalypse and tasked with gathering materials to keep your base camp safe. As you run in the real world, the app will collect the supplies you gather and create circumstances that will cause you to speed up or slow down, such as running away from a zombie herd. This app is wonderful for building endurance by keeping you interested in your workout.

These are just a few of the fitness apps available on the app store. You can find the latest and greatest of these by looking under the fitness or health categories of the app store on your device.
