Recap of the Father-Daughter ski trip 2018

Every year the Xavier Dads’ Club hosts the Xavier Father-Daughter ski trip in January over the long weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This event is designed for students to spend more time with their dads. As the time girls spend at home with their dads is limited, the ski trip is an important time for students to spend quality time with their fathers before they head off to college.

Junior Marybeth Bonner attended her third ski trip this year and said, “It is the perfect way to spend time with my dad because we both enjoy skiing. I also love going on the trip with my friends.”

During the trip, the girls and their fathers share a special moment in the exchange of letters that they wrote to each other. Many students use the letter to tell their fathers how much they appreciate them and how much they love spending time with them. With that, all of the dads also spend time writing letters to their daughters to share similar feelings. This intimate moment is something that will always be re

membered and appreciated forever. Senior Molly Kuhl said, “It was such a memorable time with my dad and overall a great experience to meet new people and make lasting memories.”
