Currently, basketball is ranked fifth in the 6A conference, with 16 teams guaranteed to make the playoffs. Basketball is also ranked ninth in the state. After graduating, Oltrogge is headed to division 1 school, Idaho State University. Another strong player, junior point guard Leilani McIntosh, adds a lot of depth to the team scoring an average of 11 points per game and 4.5 steals per game. Senior power forward, Mary Long, said, “I’m really excited because this is the first year in a long time we’ve actually been quoted for the state championship.”

Soccer, currently ranked second in the 6A conference, is ready to win another state championship. The team is packed with talented juniors and seniors, with four girls already committed to play soccer at division 1 NCAA programs. The team has scored 38 goals so far this season, with two girls already in the double digits – senior Abby Hubbard (11) and junior Kyla Ferry (17).

Both teams are going to make an appearance in the playoffs, so stay tuned for playoffs coverage!
