Whether it be the screaming contest at the rallies, the freshman year diet consisting of snackbar cookies and Cup Noodles, or the routined race to the senior lot on a Friday afternoon, Xavier has given me the most incredible and unique high school experience possible. Coming to Xavier without knowing many other students was a blessing in disguise, as it allowed me to come out of my shell and explore every aspect that Xavier has to offer. In my four years, I had the privilege of exploring nearly every route of high school that you could, consisting of: bench-warming for the lacrosse team, applying hair and makeup backstage in the theater, giving tours for prospective students, dancing with student council, eating crepes with the French Club, and of course, writing for XPress. I thank Xavier for opening my eyes to all of these experiences and I admire the diversity that runs through this campus and the passion that each student holds for learning. Xavier allows every one of its students to take their own path, and not one is the same.

For me, writing for XPress has been my outlet. This newspaper holds a group of some of the most inspired and excited writers on campus, not to mention superb video editors and photographers. This school offers their students a level of security, but pushes each of us to exceed the norm. In XPress, I have grown as a writer and excelled in journalism, planning to take it to the next level and write for my future university’s paper. Now as a senior, I can only look back in awe to see how many challenges Xavier has taught me to overcome. The sisterhood that that has been created on campus, regardless of how cliché it might sound, is something that is like no other. I will now have to leave many aspects of Xavier behind, but I know that many of these bonds will last a lifetime.
