The Tour de Xavier
A classic senior tradition continues
As the countdown to graduation dwindles, the traditions passed down from one senior class to another continues to bring joy to the seniors’ last days.
This particular tradition of the “Tour de Xavier” is a form of excitement for all girls. Clad in their plaid, seniors meet in a church parking lot off of Central and prepare their bikes, roller skates, hover boards and scooters for the trek to Xavier. Laughs and shrieks ensue as the huge mass of plaid swarms the sidewalk and attempts not to run into each other. As the soon to be alumnae gators reached the Xavier gates, they were greeted with a festive and joyous sophomore-senior luncheon. Music blasted and the seniors all sang along to their favorite tunes. The awards assembly ensued and the seniors were released early as a special treat for their special day of traditions.
