Senior Madelilne Warren and her dad are dressed up to attend the Father-Daughter dance.

Once a year in February, the Father-Daughter dance is held. This dance is open to everyone of all classes and their dads. The Father-Daughter dance is a very fun event and experience that can be shared with your dad. This dance may be overlooked as something that is cheesy with your dad, or something that might not be as fun as a Friday Night Lights, but it truly is an exceptional experience that you really cannot share anywhere else. Senior Nicole Hook said, “I had so much fun with my dad at the dance. We loved the music and made so many fun memories!”.

Every year the Father-Daughter dance has a different theme and a fun raffle. They also have picture spots where you can go and take selfies with your dad, or you can take a professional picture with them. These are moments that you truly cannot get anywhere else. Before you know it, you will be off to college and you will be able to look back on the Xavier Father-Daughter dance and be happy you went to spend time with your dad. Mike Warren, a dad attendee at the dance said, “This dance was a fun event for my daughter and I to make some memories that will last a lifetime.”

The Father-Daughter dance is a special experience to share with your dad that you do not get to do on a daily basis. Yes, you spend time with your dad all the time, but it is rare that you go to dinner and a dance and get to spend the whole night with them. This dance means more to your dads than you think. Next year, go to the dance, spend time with them and they will be so grateful and happy you did. You will make memories here that you will be able to cherish for the rest of your life.
