MJ Martinez Bautista, Sports Editor

MJ is a junior at Xavier College Prep. She is the Sports Editor for XPress, and began writing for XPress her sophomore year. At Xavier, MJ is a member of both NEHS and Quill & Scroll. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing and traveling. MJ is looking forward to furthering her journalism journey. Her favorite thing about journalism is finding a new story to write for each issue. MJ is a Best of SNO award-winning writer.

Two Xavier sports teams win it all

Over the winter season, Xavier's spiritline and soccer teams excelled as they placed in defining competitions.

On February 12 at the Queen Creek soccer field, members of the JV-B soccer team Angie Galvan ‘25 and Jackie Galvan ‘23 support the varsity soccer team. Xavier won 1-0.
