Every time users open TikTok they scroll past videos with 1,000, 10,000 and even 1 million likes, but they rarely stop to wonder what it took those creators to get there, and what it feels like to reach those numbers.
It’s no surprise that Xavier girls go viral on the popular social media platform. The funny, talented and relatable girls’ accounts catch the eyes of not just friends, but thousands of others.
With the rise of new trends and styles in 2025, Xavier girls can be seen displaying their talents and humor on TikTok.
It isn’t easy to go viral, but it can happen overnight. With thousands of videos appearing on TikTok, a select few end up with hundreds of thousands of likes.
Sienna Stoll ’29, a freshwoman at Xavier, went viral on Tiktok for her cover of the song “My Own Way” from Zombies 4.
“I made my account for my friends, and it ended up going viral,” Stoll said.
Her singing talent has allowed her covers of various songs to be seen and loved by many people on social media, and has even caught the attention of Disney itself.
Additionally, Giuliana De Nitto ‘28 has gone viral for her wholesome and relatable content. Her video went viral around Halloween as a funny video of herself stressing about finding a costume.
“I think going viral changed my perspective on how it happens and how many people it actually is. I mean thousands of viewers and likes in such a short period of time is crazy if you think about it,” De Nitto says.
It’s difficult to grasp the impact a post can have. Posts on TikTok can reach such a large audience and can turn into something much bigger.
The surprise of going viral is a strange one and often comes with a lot of positivity and support which often boosts the creators’ confidence and even their accounts.
Another student, Phoebe Kleinlein ‘26 went viral after her sister posted a video of a clip from the 2025 spring musical “Hadestown.”
“Seeing a teenage girl playing Hermes is uncommon so when the video went viral, people found it really incredible,” said Kleinlein.
As social media continues to grow, millions of videos compete for attention and recognition of talent, humor and relatability.
A video of a short phrase or the cover of a well-known song can go viral quickly. The algorithm pushes impressive and interesting content into many peoples’ feeds, which results in the videos going viral.
It’s no doubt that the talent with which Xavier overflows and the creativity some girls possess can capture the likes of thousands of people.
