Restaurant review: veggie style

I have been vegetarian for about 2 years and one of the things I really missed was Asian food. A lot of Asian food is cooked with meat products, even if the meat itself is not present on the dish. So, when I discovered this new all vegetarian Asian restaurant, I put my hands together and thanked Jesus for answering my food prayer.

Being able to pick anything from a menu is so luxurious. My eyes widened when the nice lady behind the counter said, “Yes, you can choose anything on the menu.” And they have a large menu, so I have not been able to try everything. Pot stickers, hot and sour soup, miso soup, orange peel chicken, vegetable curry, spiced salt fish, village tofu, pad Thai and Tom Yam fried rice, are just some of the items you can get, and they are all vegetarian. Upon request, they can even make dishes vegan.

I got takeout because it was a weeknight and I still had homework to do. They have excellent and quick service, I was out of there in maybe 10-20 minutes. The inside is very cute, and when you order you get a menu you can even take home. My personal favorite is the orange peel chicken (It takes like real chicken.) It is a little sweet for me, but I fixed that easily with just some soy sauce top. And I got a side of edamame too and the lettuce wrap. The orange peel chicken was $8.95, the edamame $3.00 and the lettuce wrap was $5.95. So that comes to a grand total of $17.90. Their portions are quite generous, so for about $20 that is a lot of food. The highest price on their menu is $8.95.

I would highly recommend Veggie Village to anyone, vegetarians and meat eaters alike, to go and enjoy their delicious food.
