Ice. Literally ice with flavored sugar. What’s the big deal anyways?

Sunny’s Snoballs is a locally family owned business that serves a large variety of shaved ice flavors. The business has flavors from strawberry cheesecake to boysenberry. The environment of the entire place is full of cheers and smiles. This past weekend, I got to try out the shaved ice for myself. I ordered the “party ball” with a grape rock candy! Definitely a must try.

The establishment was small, but very friendly. I also tried the Cookie Monster, which was a blue razz snow cone with an oreo mouth and homemade marshmallows as eyes. It was delicious. Other customers topped their snow cones off with small little animal gummies from sharks to octopuses. Sunny’s Snoballs offers a wide spread of flavors and toppings that customers get very creative with.

Chance B., the owner of Sunny’s Snoballs first moved to Arizona in 2008 and was searching for a close place to enjoy some snow cones, but none stood out to him. So, he opened his own shop! The business first started out in a mobile unit and eventually moved to an actual store. Sunny’s Snoballs uses New Orleans style shaved ice and has over 105 flavors/syrups, 13 toppings and 4 ice cream flavors.
