A festive craft to add an extra touch to your home this holiday season.

Holiday crafts are a great way to spend time with your family this season. This candy-cane candle is a cute and creative way to spread Christmas cheer. The project only takes about thirty minutes, making it a quick way to add the holiday look and smell to your home. Materials:

  • Pom poms (any color)
  • Candycanes
  • One large candle (bonus points for a christmas-themed scent)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Protective rag or tablecloth

Before you start:

  • Lay down the protective rag or tablecloth on your workspace
  • Heat up the hot glue gun
  • Lay out your pom poms and candy canes

The Process:

  • Step 1: Lay the candle on its side, apply glue to the first pom pom, and stick firmly onto the exterior of the candle.

  • Step 2: Repeat step one until the entire lower edge of the candle exterior is covered.

  • Step 3: Stand the candle up, apply glue to the first candy cane, and stick firmly onto the exterior of the candle.

  • Step 4: Repeat step 3 until the entire candle exterior is lined with candy canes.

  • Step 5: Cut out a strand of two-inch thick ribbon and tie it in a bow for the finishing touch.
