Last week, senior Landree Coats and junior Summer McCann took home the state title for Division I Beach Volleyball Pairs. The championship took place on Thursday, May 5 at Casteel High School, where the pair beat Sandra Day O’Connor. Earlier in the day, Coats and McCann won against Desert Ridge in the semifinals to advance to the championship. 

“The highlights for me were definitely the long rally plays. We had one where the OC girls made an amazing play, but Landree and I scrambled to get the ball back over and scored. That was a really big point and marked a momentum shift for us,” McCann said. Congratulations beach volleyball Gators!
