This year the 43rd annual Xavier Mothers’ Guild Scholarship Fashion Show will take place at the Arizona Biltmore. The 2025’s theme is “Jewel of the Desert.”
This year’s theme was named after The Biltmore location, which is nicknamed the “Jewel of the Desert.”
One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will go to the Xavier Scholarship Fund.
“We dream of a day when every deserving student, regardless of their family’s financial means, can have the opportunity to receive a Xavier education,” said Sister Joan Fitzgerald.
This year’s chairwomen are Julie Alpert and Kerrie Addante-Jacobs. “The success of this event every year is crucial as over 45% of Xavier students receive some level of financial assistance,” Addante said.
In addition to walking the runways, Xavier girls are able to create their own groups with Brophy and to choreograph a dance to perform on the runway.
In preparation for this event, Milani Alvarez 25’ has already begun looking for a dress and coordinating her dance group with her friends.
“I think deciding what groups we are going to be in and coordinating with our friends from Brophy will definitely be the most fun part for me,” Alvarez said.
This Sunday, February 23, marks the beginning of practice for the runway. Xavier Mothers’ Guild Scholarship Fashion Show is already off to a great start.
