Lovely Lauren is a new staff writer in the XPress for the 2021-2022 school year. She is a sophomore at Xavier, where she participates in Crew, Speech and Debate, Students for Social Action, and Publicity Club. Lauren is striving to form a stronger connection within the Xavier community. She is excited to be a part of XPress this  year and plans to be a source of information, a helping hand, and a welcoming friend to her fellow Gators.

Xavier College Preparatory senior Destiny De La O will be attending the University of Arizona to major in psychology, as she hopes to get a career in neuropsychology and potentially psychopharmacology to help those with abnormalities in their brains. Because theater helps give purpose and characters to stories much like how psychology focuses on understanding the behavior of others, Destiny has taken the opportunities to play her dream roles of Amaryllis in “The Music Man” her sophomore year and of Kurt Von Trapp in her dream show, “The Sound of Music,” her senior year.
