Jane Burkhardt, Connect Editor

Jane Burkhardt is a senior at Xavier who enjoys going to the gym and hanging out with friends. Journaling, painting, and playing outside are some of her favorite things to do in her free time. She plays varsity volleyball, is a homecoming chair, and is an NEHS officer who is looking forward to meeting new people. Jane is also in Quill and Scroll National Honor Society, Spanish Language Club, and Latin Club. Jane is excited to make more memories with the staff and collaborate with classmates to win more awards this year! Jane is a third-place recipient of the Private School Journalism Association’s Features Writer of the Year. The Arizona Interscholastic Press Association (AIPA) awarded her a “Superior” mark for feature writing in 2024.

In 1985, Matt Hicki and Kristi Anderson are crowned Homecoming king and queen at the dance, and in 2024, Grant Sonnenberg and Michal Cagungun are crowned at the football game. Over the years each Xavier student writes down her top three choices for Homecoming queen and the five with the most votes go on to be part of the Homecoming Court.
