Ryan Young, Faith In Action Editor
Ryan Young is a senior at Xavier College Preparatory. This year will be Ryan's first year as an editor for the Faith in Action section. She is involved in numerous clubs such as XPress Journalism Club, Students for Social Action Club, Gatorade Club, National History Club, Key Club, and Pierian Spring Club. In addition, she is a member of the National English Honor Society, Quill and Scroll International Honor Society, and the National Society of High School Scholars. Outside of school, she enjoys pilates class, babysitting, reading, spending time with her family and two goldendoodles, and traveling. Ryan enjoys journalism because it allows her to connect with others and endure her passion for writing. This year, she looks forward to informing the Xavier community about current events and editing her peers' articles. The Arizona Interscholastic Press Association (AIPA) awarded her an "Excellent" mark for news writing in 2024.
