Lucia Sugich, Sports Editor

Lucia is a senior at Xavier this year. This is her third year on XPress, and she is a part of National Honor Society, Quill & Scroll Honor Society, and photography. She also plays on the Xavier lacrosse team. In her free time Lucia likes to read, go to yoga, and spend time with her friends. Lucia loves that journalism allows her to learn about diverse topics, and she is looking forward to being this year’s sports editor! The Arizona Interscholastic Press Association (AIPA) awarded her a “Superior” mark for sports writing and in-depth reporting, and an “Excellent” mark in news writing and portrait photography in 2025. Lucia is a Best of SNO award-winning writer.
