Lucia Sugich, Sports Editor

Lucia is a senior at Xavier this year. This is her third year on XPress, and she is a part of National Honors Society, Quill & Scroll Honors Society, and photography. She also plays on the Xavier lacrosse team. In her free time Lucia likes to read, go to yoga, and spend time with her friends. Lucia loves that journalism allows her to learn about diverse topics, and is looking forward to being this year’s sports editor! Lucia is a Best of SNO award-winning writer.

On May 10, Alexa Zowine won 1st place at the 6A state championship for javelin with a throw of 138-11. Zowine will attend Paradise Valley Community College in the fall while training for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
